I meet a lot of people who think business is extremely boring. Fair enough.
From the outside, it looks like meetings, operations, finances, marketing, spreadsheets, and asking people why something is still not done.
Business is a lot like poker.
Nothing is happening
Every move matters
Watch a real poker table from outside. People sit quietly, move a few chips, look at cards, and make faces that barely move. When poker looks exciting in a movie, you are enjoying the music and the edit.
Sit at the table with your own money in front of you and the whole thing changes.
Now every small movement means something. You are trying to understand who is bluffing, how much you can afford to lose, whether to take the risk, and whether the person across from you knows something you do not.
That is business.
Operations are boring until one delay starts affecting every task behind it.
Finance is boring until your company is burning roughly ₹60,000 a month and salaries, rent, equipment, and client payments are all inside the same calculation.
Marketing is boring until you realize a good product sitting inside your laptop still makes zero rupees.
You can watch business videos for years and still never understand why I enjoy this shit. You probably need to do it to feel what the thrill is about.
